Re: Changing running lights and courtesy lights to LED on PDQ 32
Here is the picture of the exiting lights I have in the cabin. Is this the same light on your boat that you replaced, with the same screw holes? Thanks. 15205452719461.jpg 15205452082370.jpg Yes, those are the same halogen lights I replaced, and the base support for the LED model lights I linked to...

Re: Rectangular porthole hatches, part number needed
I'm pretty sure the plastic side hatches are Beckson "Newport" models. They used to be called "rain drain" I believe. See here: http://www.beckson.com/ports.html. The model size is basically the height and width of the windows. I *think* the two sizes used on the 32 would be the ...

Speaking of LED lights, these interior motion sensor lights are really cool: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XQ39PMF/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o02_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 At $20 for two they're cheap. They recharge with standard usb connections. They have a built in motion sensor (as well as standard...

LED Reading lights in cabins: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XPY8YQD/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 A little brighter than the stock halogens (but much cooler and lower power draw), and they have a frame "lip" around the leds so that one person can read without the g...

Re: Changing running lights and courtesy lights to LED on PDQ 32
I just did this upgrade on my 32. I originally purchase this for the aft light: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00I0BRKOA/ref=oh_aui_search_detailpage?ie=UTF8&psc=1 Then I decided to add a second stern light on the port side of the transom, because with a dinghy up on the lift, it blocks almo...

Re: mainsail
Drew, what did you do to upgrade the outhaul? I don't like my setup, where the line comes through a hole in the boom and ties off on a cleat on the boom. Since I do not have a winch on the mast, I cannot tension it more than I can pull with my hands, and it is awkward to get to in any event. I'm thi...

Thanks for posting that Tom, that is useful information. My trim rings are showing cracks and signs of age and I may be replacing them soon.

Please let us know your experience. I've used a local loft for my sails, but I've read generally good things about Rolly sails over the years.

Re: PDQ 32, length of tramp lacing and diameter
About a year ago, I bought new tramps (through Sunrise -- happy) for my 32, and debated what to lace them up with. After looking around a bit, it seems like most tie their tramps up with a non-stretch line (like sta-set). However, I wanted something with some stretch to it, because, in my observatio...

Re: PDQ 32/34, Shoal Survivor, For Sale
Wow, after years of reading you rave about your 32, I'm completely taken aback. I'm curious about your different direction, and why you felt your 32 wasn't the boat for that direction. But best wishes for your sale and future decisions. I for one am very much appreciative of all your posts, comments...

I assume you've checked with Bomar?
If there is no source for these, the best alternative might be to make a frame out of teak.
