Trying to locate owner - Mike M. PDQ32 "Third Wish"

I have been trying to get a msg to Mike M, who is the owner of Third Wish in Southern California. His forum info is: mikemak77 Dana Point, California/1996 32 Classic "THIRD WISH" But he hasn't logged on in over 3 years, and his phone and email do not seem to reach him. Can anyone help? If ...

Re: Soft Shackles--Where Have You Found Them Useful?

The chain is attached to the swivel. The swivel is attached to the shackle. The shackle is attached to the anchor. It's to back up the shackle. But it is probably true that it is unnecessary.

Re: Soft Shackles--Where Have You Found Them Useful?

I use one at the attachment from the swivel to the anchor. This is in addition to the anchor shackle. But you got me thinking about the jib sheets. :)

Re: New PDQ32 mainsail report

Thanks for the report. As for the Tides marine track and hardware, did you silicone spray the entire track? Or it might be that the benefit is mostly for it to come down in a few seconds. Is you main halyard let to the cockpit or do you raise it from the mast? For the loose fitted main, what did you...

Re: Mobile phone access?

Software is updated to 3.0.12 and I believe that it should recognize when you are on a mobile phone and give you a different interface.

Please report problems here.

Mobile phone access?

Does anyone access with a mobile phone browser? I can update the forum to recognize a Mobile browser and change the interface automatically, it would look something like this:

http://www.artodia.com/demo/phpbb30/index.php?style=11

Accessing from a real computer would be unchanged.

Should I?

Firs sail over the weekend with the new main. Still working on some issues with the Dutchman. This video was snapped by a crew member before adjusting halyard and sheet tension. :P

Re: A new mainsail for a 32 - questions

Took delivery of my new mainsail today. It was made by my sailmaker here in Chicago. Looks ... interesting. I think I'll stand out in the crowd! People walking by the boat slowed their walk or stopped for the 10 mins we had it up on the dock. Pics below show the sail, but the battens are not in yet,...

Re: engine noise

Good to hear. I'm getting closer to repowering. I've been piecing older ones together for too long. Anyone need parts for the older style 9.9's? I've got a dozen in the garage My mechanic and I have done a good job maintaining my engines, but still, they are 1995 so almost 20 years old, and have cl...

Re: New engines - source? and market for the old ones?

I spoke to Andy today. We had an interesting conversation about the remote versions vs. the tiller versions. Apparently, the remove versions come only with the power tilt mechanism, so if you want the manual tilt, you need to get the tiller version, (model: T9.9XEHB) and have them remove the tiller ...

New engines - source? and market for the old ones?

I have the original 1995 Yamaha 9.9s on Phenix, in Chicago. I am considering replacing them with new, maybe after this year. What do you all think is the best source for 2 new engines? Locally? Mail order? I would have my mechanic install them. Also, is there any market for these 1995 engines? They ...

When Phenix started doing charters, I had to switch from State Farm. I now have Seaworthy. I am in Illinois. Rate quoted was half of what others quoted. My contact:

Does anyone actually use this interface and can tell me what levels it seems to run best at? Re: A new mainsail for a 32 - questions

I spoke to my sailmaker and he followed up with a quote on a new mainsail. The sail would be twin ply of 4 oz material sewn together. Different colors can be chosen for each horizontal panel. As there are 5 battens in the mainsail of Phenix, there are 6 panels. I have never seen a "big boat&quo...
