Re: flybridge supply Breaker?
Our flybridge supply breaker turns on all DC power to the flybridge. The AC outlet on our flybridge has an AC breaker on the panel.

Re: Looking for solar panels
Gerry, Are you adding a rigid aft Bimini or is it fabric? I am interested in adding a rigid Bimini on the fly bridge and putting more solar panels up there. The current sunbrella Bimini up there goes crazy in a real blow. One of the supports came unbolted a few weeks ago, but I caught it in time. So...

Re: Hardtops-a-building for Looking Glass
pictures are a pain. Thank you for the dimensions. Does the flybridge hardtop go back to the radar mast? How did you handle flybridge access through the aft hardtop? Thanks.

Re: Hardtops-a-building for Looking Glass
Mark,
What ever happened with this? I am considering adding a hard top. I did it on my sailboat, a Morgan 384, and I loved it. No maintenance, storm proof, and a great place of solar panels. I would love to see pictures of your progress. Thanks.

Plumbing tubing
I was sure I would find something about this in the forum, but did not. My 2005 M/V 068 has what appears to be some kind of PE tubing throughout for the fresh water system. I have had no problems with it at all. However, does anyone know the brand? Is it generic? Also, what brand are the fittings? I...

Re: Hydarulic Steering
I ordered the hydraulic line on the internet. I don't recall what I paid for it, but it was in the neighborhood of a dollar or two a foot. I bought the compression end fittings at Ace hardware for about five bucks. The line I replaced was the compensation line going from the lower helm to the fly br...

Hydarulic Steering
All, There are some references to steering in the forum, but none that cover my current problem. I was trying to route a GPS cable down to a new AIS system at the inside helm. I was running the cable down the wiring chase on the starboard side between the windows. I needed to do a little cutting and...

Re: Distribution Panel breaker for SSB
Thanks. It seems odd that the fly bridge would need that much current. My fly bridge has just engine instruments, a chart plotter, and a depth sounder. Ten amps would probably cover it. I do not have a spare slot so I will move some things around. I rewired my last boat completely. It is a pain, but...

Distribution Panel breaker for SSB
I am preparing to install my Single Side Band radio that I removed from my previous boat. On the old boat I had it wired to a 30 amp breaker, and I would like to do that again. There is only one 30 amp breaker on my panel. All the rest are 15 amps. The 30 amp breaker says "Fly Bridge Supply&quo...

Re: Generator raw water pump losing its prime
My gen set was not losing prime on the seawater side, but it was overheating after about five minutes. Basically just enough time to warm up. Of course I checked oil and water before I started it the first time. It overheated and I replaced the raw water impeller. Then tried it a few times, no luck....
