Re: PDQ32+
Phenix, Those are for the cockpit drains. Home made clamshells made out of sheet ABS that I thermo formed over a cut off peice of PVC pipe. Was just an test but looked good enough to try. Hopefully they'll work better than the rubber flappers that were there before. Thanks ... interesting that you ...

Re: Blocking for PDQ 32 LRC
I block the boat in the winter as described in the manual; the keels sit on blocks and there are two 2x8s under the bridgedeck, in the places described in the manual. These 2x8s are supported by higher jackstands. The process I use is ... the crane sets the boat on the blocks under the keels and I p...

Re: Replacement rub rail
I see the one from Taco Marine is not sold directly by them, but through their distributor West Marine. If you do this, I would be very interested in the results as the rubrail on Phenix could use a replacement. Link: https://www.westmarinepro.com/buy/taco-marine--semi-rigid-rub-rail-kit-70--1107529...

Re: New Engine Replacement: I have extra wires...
Good info. I'm replacing both engines next week! They arrive next week, I'm excited. What I have coming out of the old engines (1995 originals) is (see pic): - 7-pin male harness (which SIM Yamaha says they will duplicate on the new engines) - cable to battery (positive and negative) - red wire and ...

Re: Air Conditioning Intake
I installed a trough hull under the fridge. I'm going to raise the sill on the compartment just a few inches, which will bring it above the water line and make this into a bullheaded compartment, like that starboard bow. It is also an easy-access spot for the filter. It did add one hole, but I real...

Re: Jammer for Main Outhaul and 3rd Reef
Your outhaul must go forward to somewhere. Even on dinghies, they don't end at the end of the boom. Yes, my outhaul line comes out of the front of the boom then goes through a jammer right there. The reefing lines also come out of the front of the boom then go down to blocks at the base of the mast...

Re: Jammer for Main Outhaul and 3rd Reef
Thanks for the additional detail on the screws. Interesting. I always feel that I am accomplishing something then I have a tap tool in my hand. 8) You talk about the load on the reefing line, but in your pic, it appears that this is the outhaul. I assume the reefing line somehow goes through the upp...

Thanks guys. Also, thinwater pointed out what is in the original PDQ manual. The original post on your blog for this was: http://sail-delmarva.blogspot.com/search?q=bunk+storage Maybe it is my browser, but I can't seem to find any of the original post there and I did a quick search of your blog and I couldn't seem to find it.
