Prosafe1 needed
Third Tri was hit by a power surge during a big thunderstorm last week. The damage was limited to the Salon AC, which was running at the time, and the ProSafe power monitor. We are still working to diagnose the AC - it is not working at all. For the Prosafe, we called the company, and while their su...

Re: Windlass Relay
Thank you all for your replies. It probably wasn't voltage as it worked well in the DOWN mode but not at all in UP even without a load.
Ill replace the relay - just in case.

Windlass Relay
[aThe windlass on Plush Toy would not bring the Anchor up the other day. I found the tapping the relay solved the problem - at least temporarily, but I would like to replace the relay so that we don't have a problem out on the water. Does anyone know who manufactures the relay and where I can get it...

Cracked Lifeline Stanchions
While inspecting the boat following our big Bahamas Trip, I noticed small cracks in three of the lifeline stanchions. A local welder suggested that I should remove the full rail and bring it to his shop. His plan is to cut the stanchion at the cracks, insert a pipe inside for strength, then re-weld ...

Short Salon Table Legs
We are looking for short legs to be used when the Salon table is used as a bunk. Plush Toy came with some 2" PVC pipes that were cut to size, but these are two small, and a 3" PVC pipe is too big. Any suggestion on what will word would be appreciated.

Re: Maserator pump
Thanks everyone. We considered the diaphragm pump but took the easy way out and just replaced with a new Jabsco - took just a few minutes. Perhaps we will get bolder the next time around, but for now, I was very happy that it was an easy clean job. We leave for our first Bahamas trip early next week...

Maserator pump
The maserator pump on Plush Toy is shutting off (the breaker actually trips) after it runs for about 15 seconds. It seems as if the outflow pipe is blocked. We jumped in the water to see if some marine life had clogged the outlet, but we couldnt find the through hull. Does anyone know where this is ...

Scuba Tank Storage
I am looking for idea for storing scuba gear on deck for easy access when doing day trips? If we were going for longer, I would put the gear in the bow lockers, but it would be nice to have it secured somewhere near the back of the boat when going for a quick trip. Any suggestions would be appreciat...

Rust in condensation pan
I am the proud new owner of a PDQ 34, formerly Cats Paw and Aubrey Ann - her new name is PLUSH TOY and she will be kept at my home in Lighthouse Point Florida. I have had a lot of fun tinkering with the boat over the past few months, and the "training" given to me by Dick Tuschick has gone...
