St. Michaels, Maryland Anchorage or Dockage on San Domingo C
We live in the Smith Point area and are planning mini cruise for July. Is there a backdoor entrance to St Michaels? We can see the potential of getting there via San Domingo Creek and walking into town that way. We just don’t want to waste time going all the way up to the Miles River to get t there....

MTOA - Marine Trawler Owners Association
Some PDQ 34 and 41s might all ready know of this organization, but we sailors may have overlooked it. We have several friends who are members of the Marine Trawler Owner Association (MTOA) who encouraged us to join it. We did as we are turtles most of the time too. Here is their web site http://mtoa...

Re: BERMUDA
Doug, We highly recommend that you buy new charts for your trip. They will contain the latest navigational information. We have been to Bermuda twice from the Chesapeake Bay on catamarans. We only needed to add two charts to our existing coastal inventory for the trips one for Bermudian waters and o...

Bow Seats for your PDQ 36
We always wanted places to sit in the bow and we had them on our previous cat. Of course we didn’t want to spend a lot of money. The following design was achieved at less than $100 cost while keeping function and minimizing weight forward. The first thing we did early on in anticipation of bow seats...

Galley Vent Fan
We needed something directly over the stove in the summer months to exhaust the heat from the galley stove. Not desiring something protruding through the deck as tripping hazard, I opted for a seasonally removable solution. Using the existing opening window as a pattern, I cut a ¼ inch piece of Lexa...

Re: Sliding Glass Door
Our door too was getting hard to slide. Most of the screws were inaccessible behind the battery box rim and could not be removed. So I slid the door halfway open drilled a half inch hole in the channel in a spot where the two rollers could be accessed. One was jammed with dog hair and lint. I cleane...

NOAA Charts on Google Earth
This may not be the best for navigation purposes as both the satellite image and the charts could be dated, but it is really cool just the same. Follow the link. Root
