Re: Cabinet Storage?
So that’s supposed to be a beverage cabinet? The previous owner just had boat stuff in there so I have been doing the same thing. Sounds like a trip to the liquor store is in order.. I can’t believe I never knew this. It sure seems like another cabinet could go next to that one but now my mind is pr...

Re: Macerator pump installation
Yes I am talking about the pump that empties the holding tank while offshore.. Switching over to a diagram pump is absolutely the way to go however it is not all that simple. As I am planning on leaving for the Bahamas the second week in April I decided just to replace the pump with a 12 volt Jabsco...

Macerator pump installation
I am having problems with my macerator pump. Reading threads I see this is a common problem. I see many have switched to a diaphragm pump and would like to know is does anyone have or would take a photo of how they installed it. There obviously has to be some modifications made to the existing fitti...

Re: Sleeping in the salon?
Mac,
Thanks a million.. I always wondered what those
two odd shaped cushions I had in the back were for.
It all makes perfect sense now.
I was trying to make it work using
just the seats and backs...
Thanks again...

Sleeping in the salon?
I have a newer style salon with the rounded couch 2005. My question is ,, Does anyone ever put the table down and sleep there? I tried it for the first time today and it’s like a jigsaw puzzle with a couple of pieces missing. I know the older style makes a very nice bed but it doesn’t seem like the ...

Re: New Head..
Ok so everybody still using the old Jabsco.. I remember once reading an interview with Elizabeth Taylor and she said “Everytime I get divorced I change all the toilets in my house”.. I kind of feel like that.. Perhaps if these toilets are so great could you share reasons why I should just keep what ...

Re: Transom shower..
David, The part is Scandvik # 12104... However it is for a hole of 2 3/4 inch hole and mine was maybe 2 1/4 so I had to make the hole a little bigger in order to fit the cap. They do make one that fits exactly but when I called they said 12104 was a better quality part and if possible just use it so...

New Head..
I want to replace the old Jabsco head and install something new.. This may seem silly because there is nothing wrong with the Jabsco I just want a brand new one that no one ever sat on before... I am looking at the Marine Elegance model and I know Stuart Yachts has done a few replacements over the y...

Re: Transom shower..
Thanks for the help as always.. Just to report back I did manage to retrieve the shower from behind the heater.. The job was much easier removing the firewall giving me enough room to crawl back there and get it.. I suggest checking the trim as the part is only $17 and a lot easier to replace before...

Transom shower..
So my transom shower has fallen inside the boat.. the plastic had rotted away that held it in place and now it’s back behind the water heater somewhere. I have found the replacement part but here is my problem.. How the **** do I get back there to retrieve it. I see no way I can climb back there and...

Holding tank Monitor
I thought I would share my experience installing a new holding tank monitor. Going down the icw I mistakenly thought my tank was maybe half full when I flushed and the “Full Light” came on. Well I can tell you with absolute certainty that you may have 4 more flushes at most before disaster strikes.....

Bahamas cruising permit question...
I have gotten conflicting reports regarding how long you may stay in the Bahamas while cruising. A friend is coming from New Zealand and we will be heading over this winter. I am assured she does not need a visa and is allowed a 3 month stay. For me a US citizen is states 8 months but is up to the d...

Re: Springfield double helm seat
Thanks for all the replies... I think I’m going to pull the trigger and buy the double seat from Springfield. If anyone remembers which pedestals you bought or if I can use the one I already have and just buy one? I agree it would be nice on a rougher passage to have a single seat however I think th...

Springfield double helm seat
For those of you who added the double helm seat on the flybridge from Springfield I’m curious as how it was mounted and was it a worthwhile addition? Our boat is an 05 with the single seat and pedestal which is fine however the double seat looks really nice.. Any thoughts are appreciated.. Bill Mv34...

Lower Helm seat sliding bracket
The lower helm seat on our 05 was so uncomfortable to sit on I decided to take it in to have new foam installed, while it was out I added 2 pieces of 2x4 and raised the seat up a bit. Super easy and makes a huge difference in comfort. However after removing the seat the left side sliding bracket was...
