Our home marina (fixed dock) can make it pretty hard to get on or off in certain tide situations, including from the stern steps. Wondered if anyone has ever installed a boarding ramp or other ideas?

I was cleaning the hull today and one of the plastic strainers at the entrance to a through-hull just came off in my hand. Although there are screw holes in it, there were no screws. Seems like it was just being held on by the bottom paint. Anyone know how these were attached at the factory? Epoxy, ...
