Yes I am still quite happy with my new sail. We have a lot of light air days where the sail really helps to keep the boat moving. When the wind picks up a bit I do find that I have to reef a little earlier as the extra area on the main tends to get out of balance with the small jib.

I have 9/16 dia on the main halyard, 1/2 inch on the main sheet, and 3/8 on the jib sheet. The main would probably be fine with 1/2 inch but the slightly larger diameter is easier on the hands when raising the sail. I think my lines are all standard yacht braid but as I have not bought them recently...

I just went to a local residential / commercial glass supplier. There should be many in Florida given it's exposure to hurricanes.

It will vary depending on how much you are involved. If the wiring is prepared with plug connections or at least disconnected that saves a lot of time. Having the sails, boom, and lazy jacks removed is obviously important. Similarily the lines running down to the base of the mast can be derigged and...

The motors are easy to lower as gravity does the job and the lock engages automatically. I did rig a pully with a small cord to release the lock without opening the housing lids. This makes things very easy once the sails take over.

My 32 has the spliced mast as well. I suspect the masts were spiced when they increased the mast heights. The splices are properly done and should be of no concern.

The 36 with daggerboards was a factory build - they called it the 36 Express - I think they only made one.

The trim should be shortened and ground to avoid catch points and sharp edges. I will be checking mine to see if I have a similar problem.

I doubt they would do much as the Yamaha engines already have rubber dampers in the mounting.
Seems like a lot of money for what looks like strips of rubber.

The latch is set into a strip of nylon bar that has been machined out at one end. There is another small nylon block secured above the post to serve as the locking edge. When the hatch is opened the nylon strip on the hatch slides along the top of the fixed block.

Mine has a cam that you have to press up when you open the hatch. It is located at the inboard end so you can't reach it unless the door is open.

PDQ32 #43 Double Dutch

The 32 tacks easily. The self tacking jib provides an automatic extra push as the boat passes through the eye of the wind.

I don't recall having difficulties when I sailed the 36 but my experience there is more limited.
