Re: Anyone going to the Annapolis boat show?
Eric & Bonnie, thanks for hosting this gathering! We planned on driving from Ohio to the show on Thursday (we have friends in town and stay with them for this annual outing) and would love to attend your gathering and meet more owners. We'll be happy to bring something, let us know the need - 44...

Re: PDQ32
You might also want to consider visiting website http://www.pdq36.com/ and checking on the link for PDQ owners locator map, then you can see the owners in Florida / Alabama, and possibly contact them directly. (There are also three PDQ 32's currently for sale listed on that website.) In addition, pr...

Re: Cabinet latch
For what it's worth, we are the sort who balk at $27 for latches, but spend several boat units on 12" GPS screens. Our latches weren't brittle, but some would not latch, and most were filthy yucky dirty. On a slow day, I took each latch off, marking them as their position on each cabinet door, ...

Re: Surveyor recommendations Florida west coast
You might also consider calling your insurance company and asking them to recommend a marine surveyor. We were very happy with the fellow that SAFECO insurance sent over after our lightning strike. There are also two different organizations that surveyors belong to, but can't recall them at moment, ...

Re: IF you could have ANYTHING YOU WANTED...
Sandy - all wonderful suggestions, and deeply appreciated! We bought the XM Weather antenna last year to display on the 5212, but I think the PB200 you have suggested provides different information. The yard (dealers for Raymarine but not Garmin) is trying to convince us to go with ST60 technology. ...

Re: Pull Apart Hunges in Cockpit
Search under latches and then again using hinges and you will find some resources. Be sure to call Holland Marine in Ontario, as they told me this past week that they have hardware purchased from PDQ at auction when they closed. best of luck, Magic Dragon

Holland Marine may have rubber latches for stern lockers
Holland Marine bought out lots of PDQ's inventory when it went to auction. I just called them for some other items and learned that while they no longer have any electronics from that buy, they do have lots of hardware - hinges and gasket materials for the PDQ's. Might be worth a call to them - webs...

Holland Marine purchased inventory of PDQ parts
We called to see if this company had any electronics left from their buyout - no luck! However, they do have the following items for those PDQ owners interested, and prices appear very low. For 32 MV, they have lots of stainless parts For 40 Antares, they have bench seat in stainless across back of ...

Re: Lightning Strikes
We experienced a direct hit three weeks ago, and have been doing lots of research as a result. Here's what Boat US, one of the largest insurers of marine vessels, has to say about this issue: Lightning Strikes On Boats By BoatUS Tue, Aug 09, 2005 There may not be much a boater can do to prevent ligh...

IF you could have ANYTHING YOU WANTED...
OK, we admit we are doing our best to look on the bright side when it comes to our recent lightning strike (see website for more detailed list and pictures). In addition to some hull damage, it looks like the only piece of instrumentation that we WON'T be replacing is the Garmin 5212 (it was in a cl...

Lightning strike forces replacement BEP circuit board
Due to direct strike on June 25, we are forced to replace main circuit breaker / electrical panel along with almost all of our electronics. Seeking suggestions for parts and pieces, along with pricing. Does anyone know where to buy the panel, made by BEP Marine Ltd, that was used on 1996 era 36' LRC...

Re: Lightning Strikes
Magic Dragon experienced a direct lightning strike Thursday, June 25, 2009 when a freak thunderstorm blew threw Cleveland with 60-70 knot winds during Race Week at EYC. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_9Nu0zm6lm0 The lightning blew off the newly installed vinyl striping at the waterline when it exite...

zoaygraphics@juno.com Patty has the graphics file as .jpg file along with exact measurements of logo on our ship as pictured in teal. Re: Decals
I'm counting five logo sets - is that correct?
Just measured ours - 14.25" x 4.5" is what ours measure (eliminating bottom line LRC - 36).
I'll ask our vinyl lady to quote that size for five sets.
Ours are teal or teal pearl - other colors?

Re: Decals
As Lady of the Lake stated, any good vinyl sign company will use artwork to duplicate the decals. You might try using the attached file for artwork - we are also in the process of redoing our graphics on Magic Dragon. I think you should be able to "right click" on the file attached herewit...
