Re: Nova Kool Refrigerator
Thanks. I built a full cardboard mock-up of the NEW Isotherm fridge/freezer (which is a tiny bit larger than the NovaKool. We did figure out how to move the old one OUT and the new one IN without removing that curved piece of wood behind the port side table seat cushion. It's tight, but it does look...

Re: Nova Kool Refrigerator
I need to replace our old Novakool. We’ve bought an Isotherm CR200 (similar side-by-side). My question is: how to remove the Novakool? And then how to get the new fridge down into the galley to install it? I see how to open the center window. I’m struggling to see how to remove the setee backrest. I...

Re: Flybridge Storage Locker Tips
Because it can get wet /damp inside the flybridge helm space, we put interlocking Dri-Dek Marine 1'x1' Interlocking Tiles down on the entire space. They work exceptionally well to keep gear dry and prevent mold.

Re: Lightweight Dinghy
Alan, We just got the Honda 5hp. Haven’t even broken it in yet, but I doubt it will plane with 2 people… maybe with one. That wasn’t our primary goal. Weight was our biggest concern. So we compromised. I have a friend who has the heavier version of the Highfield 290 (same size but with a full floor ...

Re: Hull - Dent Deflection Depression Dimple - and Fender Placement
My boat also has a coupld of these depressions. I had our boatyard hull/bottom guys evaluate them a few years ago and their conclusions was: a) they are typical cosmetic layup issues and nothing to worry about; and b) the tiny gelcoat cracks are normal and there is no real need to fix them; c) only ...

Re: Refinishing Salon Table
John, Did your refinishing guy tell you what the original finish was? I'd like to know for sure. He is 100% correct -- it would be very surprising if anyone could get more than ONE re-sand on that thin veneer. Our original table had several spots where the veneer had been compromised. I tried severa...

Original finish on salon woodwork?
Does anyone know what the original finish is on the salon woodwork? Varnish? Lacquer? Polyurethane? We have several flat areas where the thin laminate wood surface I needs to be refinished. Is it possible to lightly sand the laminate surface and coat it with a good quality petroleum based polyuretha...

Re: PROPS FOR SALE
Vinnie, Could you please share some details about your re-powering project? Why did you do it? How was it done (cut hole in deck over each engine?)? Cost? Did you stick with 4-blade props? Benefits?
