Unfortunately it's not a very exclusive club; those that have bent rudders.
Good job. I did something similar but used a cable pull and straps around the rudder and the keel. Then I had to repair the glass behind the rudder. Glad yours was less painful.

Cockpit drainage
Our 32 has nice large drains at the aft corners of the cockpit floor. Unfortunately the rainwater tends to pool at the front corners and leaves a nice green growth. Does anyone else see this and has anyone done anything to correct it? I'm considering adding two more drains at the front corners. Tom

The inside of the locker. The raised mount for the regulator also had to be reduced to fit the new tanks. You can also see the cutouts for the drainage channels.

Re: Propane locker modifications
The assembled locker sporting a new lowered drain and drainage channels to work with the install angle. You can also the new tabs on the mounting lip to changing the angle it is installed, I had to rebuild the lip all the way around to make it fit right.

Profiles of each half showing the PO's idea of making the locker taller to add more mats under the tanks. The wood was rotted in places.

Propane locker modifications
I know of at least three different configurations for the PDQ32. One has the vertical fridge which was originally propane powered, another has the drop in fridge, and the third has the "crew cabin" in the starboard bow. The drop in fridge configuration has a solid wall between the port bow...

Re: New engines - source? and market for the old ones?
I think the coupling nuts that Drew referenced are to use the old cable to pull the new cable through. A great idea but I've never needed them. I use either a fish tape or the original cable taped to the new cable. You could also just push the new cables in place too. On the 32 the only tough part i...

Re: Mooring PDQ 36 at public mooring
Wear gloves and attach your bridle directly to the mooring not the small pendant. Make each leg of the bridle smaller than your beam or the mooring ball may scrape the hulls during slack tide.
I use 1/2" three strand mooring line and if possible use a clove hitch at the mooring itself.

Re: Air Conditioning Intake
Dan, Thanks for the pictures, that really helps. Where in the galley is the outlet as well as in the salon? You mentioned they were on top of the seatbacks but are they forward or aft and would you change any of the locations now if you could? Where is the aft unit mounted? And are you also happy wi...

Re: Air Conditioning Intake
I don't have the freedom unit. I have standalone charger and inverter. The power for the AC is taken off at the 30amp inlet through a separate breaker. All the lights are LED and run strictly on the 12v side. The manufacture spec for current draw is 16.8 amps. Their 9k is 5.3A and their 12k is 11.2A.

Re: Air Conditioning Intake
I have the OceanBreeze 20k unit. My ducts run through the aft steering area so I loose quit a bit of cooling there. Otherwise it cools the boat fairly well.
