Three Cheers for Sam Densler!!!

Post by Cat Tales » Fri Dec 14, 2007 8:28 am

As most of you already know, the PDQ Forum servers at PDQ had been turned off indefinately. Sam Densler (s/v Lady of the Lake - 36015) tackled the challenge of acquiring and hosting the forum on his own servers. He has obviously been successful & should be recognized for his desire to protect one the most important assets we have as PDQ owners. Communication of the forum's progress was circulated to many who had current contact information on file. As a suggestion, everyone should take a look at their profile and update their email address and vessel name & hull number.

Sam writes:
"On another topic, several of you have been very gracious about wanting
to donate to the cause, to help cover the expenses in paying off the PDQ
debt, covering the fees from the current hosting company, and
registering the domain. Definitely not required, but if you are so
inclined, send your contribution (not to exceed $20 please) to:

Sam Densler
3779 Elizabeth Springs Way
Melbourne, FL 32934

Although I would have gladly paid the entire amount myself just to keep
this valuable info from disappearing, it is exciting to see that so many
of you are just as interested in keeping the forum alive. The only
other thing I could ask is that everyone post frequently once we are
back up. Recently, it has been only 5 or 6 regular posters to the list.
We all benefit from the broad knowledge of the group. So don't be
shy, post away!

Happy Holidays to All! Sam, thank you for all the hard work!

I agree, thanks Sam.

As the one who originally set up the board and then transfered the info from the "old" board two years ago, I am glad to see this up and running again.
