Post an avatar of your boat

Post by Lady of the Lake »

If you have a picture of your vessel, scale it down to less than 80x80 pixels and then go to your profile and at the bottom of the page you can upload that picture and it will become your avatar that shows up on every post. Check one of my posts and you will see how it works.

Sam,
I had previously posted as you described - seems a number of avatars got lost in the transition.

I am a mac guy so I use a program called GraphicConverter, I am sure there is a PC equivalent. Or you can use something like Photoshop if you have it. The other option is to send me your file and I will convert it and send it back to you.

Any PC program that allows you to crop the picture & save as a new file will suffice.

Sam,
I see an incomplete download (a box with a red X in it) above the avatar, by the member's designation (deckhand, skipper, admiral, etc.) on everyones posts except yours. It doesn't affect my use of the forum, just annoying. Any ideas on how I can fix it from my end?

I do not get the same results. I am using a mac. Let me check on a PC and see if I can figure out what is supposed to be there.
