POA Website?

PDQ used to maintain a web page for POA. Is this still availible somewhere? If not, is there any demand?

In a similar vein, the old company PDQ 36 pages are gone, and it would be nice to have these up for the historical interest. In particular, has anyone saved a copy of the manual in pdf format?

I have emailed PDQ looking for the old webpage but have not gotten any response. Also, I have registered the http://www.pdq36.com domain and have offered to host the site and any info including boats for sale and charter and any other info that we would like to post. However, I have received no interest at this point. I would love to get this going but have had no interest at all.

Sam, hosting the new site http://www.pdq36.com is a great idea. I have all the newsletters downloaded as .pdf files, as well as the Capella manual. I will be forwarding them to your email address.

Doesn't have to be. It would be great to represent all PDQ owners. As long as you are okay with http://www.pdq36.com since I already registered that name. I will be glad to post any and all PDQ info or interests. No reason we can't use it for that. The more the merrier.

The above link will take you to the Southwest Florida PDQ Owners Association regional group. It is open to PDQ Owners anywhere, however it is limited only to owners of PDQ yachts, both power and sail, and you must join the group to access the website.

Thanks to Sam for posting the POA newsletters. I will have a link on the POASWFla site to his website.

We have a nice PDQ locator map started for anyone who is interested in adding themselves. Go to:

http://www.frappr.com/pdq

and check it out. Some folks think this will add spam to your email inbox and I cannot be sure that it won't but I have not noticed any impact to my incoming mail so far. YMMV. Even if you don't add yourself, it is still interesting to see where others are located.

Terry,
I have been getting requests on how to join the SWFla POA. I should post something on the site to tell people how to do it (but you have to tell me first 'cause I don't know either!)

Sam,

Thanks for asking.

POASWFla is a LOCKED Yahoo site. That means that you cannot access it without joining it, so I need to place the method for joining ot here.

1. You must obtain a free "Yahoo account" and the associated Free e-mail. Please fill in the Profile with any info you desire, a picture if you want, or leave it blank. go to: http://www.yahoo.com to learn how to do this.

2. Please send me a private e-mail via this forum, including your "Yahoo" e-mail address. Include you PDQ vessels number (ours is 36040) with this e-mail.

3. I will use the website features to send you an Invitation to join the POASWFla group, which you must activate within 7 days.

4. This group is for PDQ owners only. It is designed to facilitate social activities between members. My apologies to non-owners, but you must provide your hull number to join the group.

If find you are unable to gain access, I can (on a limited basis) set up your Yahoo account and accesss for you, but I still need to hear from you by e-mail first.
