Hot Water on new 32's

The Wolter heater on my '96 32 (Third Wish #21) has quit and like others, I'm
having trouble finding parts

I'm about ready to give up and replace it, so am curious what kind of unit is
installed on new 32's these days. Defender sells an Aquastar 38 which looks like
it might do the trick. However, it has a pilot light which I am not dying to
have in the forward locker. Anyone tried this unit?

I bought a new heater from Jerry Wolter at Precision Temp this year. It took 3-4
weeks to arrive. I got the impression he primarily makes heaters for RV's, and
the Stainless Steel version is a special order for the marine market

Anyway, the mechanic at my marina tried to install it, but couldn't get it to
work, and had to wind up sending it back. He was told it would take 5 or 6 weeks
to get it back. There goes this season!

Hi Everyone, Just a thought, but if anyone has replaced thier old Wolters',could
there be a stockpile of spare parts out there, that the rest of us could
use(buy). Just a thought

It is my understanding that Jerry Wolter is trying to reestablish his water
heater mfg. I was able to recieve parts from him and send a unit to him for
repair. Check with PDQ office to see if they have a phone number for him
