PDQ flipped in horrendous seas in California, safe now

Post by Watermelon »

Here's the follow-up at Latitude 38. The boat, Catalyst, capsized in huge seas, and safely floated into a little pocket from which she was rescued. Amazing that it survived so well.

here're the links: First story, rescue of 3 crew: http://www.latitude38.com/lectronic/lec ... 449#Story4

Floating, before being salvaged: http://www.latitude38.com/lectronic/lec ... &dayid=451

Boat righted and towed home: http://www.latitude38.com/lectronic/lec ... 452#Story2

Amazing story, and everything turned out pretty good, considering.

We went cruising for a few years.
After 20 years we are STILL "cruising for a few years".

Curious as to how she went over, pitchpoled or side swamped ?
