Hi everyone. New member..first post.
I am considering the purchase of a 32 PDQ and live in an area that is very tidal....Jacksonville Florida.
We have 3.5 feet at high tide but 1 foot at low tide where I plan to anchor or tie up to a mooring I will set. No other boats in the area and no traffic to speak of. Coastguard and FWC (Florida Marine Patrol) says it will be OK to anchor or tie up to a mooring there.
With the engines up can the keels rest safely ( no damage) on a soft mud bottom with no concerns? Will the engines in the up position have a problem?
Thanks!
Rob
Pdq 32 resting on it's keels
Re: Pdq 32 resting on it's keels
3.5 feet is not really enough. And I rather doubt it will like doing that twice a day.
I would suggest either a marina or (cough, choke) a Gemini. Or a Stiletto (used to have one and miss her very much)! Yeah, get the Stiletto.
