Three PDQ 32 related articles in Practical Sailor This Month

Post by thinwater »

1. Keel modification. Combined with transom extensions, a genoa, and inside tracks, she's become a windward machine.

2. High lifelines. An easy way to make getting around the hard top safer.

3. Docklines. Ever wonder what the forces are when tied up, and whether spring lines really matter? I do know that I got a lot a weird looks when I was prowling marinas, taking readings in a drysuit during a winter gale (I took readings on sister ships and Geminis parked at different angles to help fill in the data tables). Fun stuff.

Great articles. I enjoyed reading them and you're an appreciated resource.

I'm going to do the keel extension when we haul next year.
