Replacement engines
Replacement engines
I need to replace my old 9.9's. What new engines will fit in the well without modifications? Anyone have recommendations on where to buy? (I'm located in Michigan)
Re: Replacement engines
Andy Jr. at Shipyard Island Marina (800-213-3323). Tell him it is for a PDQ 32 and he will adapt and fit it with a new wiring harness as a drop-in replacement.

The swap can be done either on the hard or floating.

Re: Replacement engines
The add in St Pete appears to be the tiller model. Keep in mind the cost of the remote connection kit.
Re: Replacement engines
They posted the wrong picture. Although they describe it as an XPB and XPA, there is no XPA version. The write up describes it as a remote model that requires control cables. Tiller models do not need that. I suppose someone would call if interested. I would.

Re: Replacement engines
In that case a good deal. Even better if you're local and can avoid shipping.
Re: Replacement engines
Thanks for the info, purchased from shipyard Island marine great people to work with . This forum rocks!
Re: Replacement engines
Glad it worked out!
And yes, it rocks! It's helped me out countless times. Even with my new boat (F-24), I have problems where I learned the solutions here (much of the same hardware).
