Anyone have a source for the salon hatch inside trim piece?

Nobody knows where to get these?
What are the chances of repair? The plastic is dried out and cracking. I'm fairly good with FRP but plastic repair would be a new skill to learn.
Any thoughts?

I assume you've checked with Bomar?
If there is no source for these, the best alternative might be to make a frame out of teak.

Tom, send me the measurements and let me see if I have an extra one in my parts stash

... If there is no source, the simplest, most OEM-like solution would be to pop a female mold from a bad one and make several. Faster and more appropriate to the look of the boat than teak IMHO. Cheaper too.
I might add a little flare to the outside to get them out of the mold easier. Sand the old one smooth and wax at least 3 coats to get rid of as much texture as possible.

Re: Salon hatch inner trim piece.
Bought mine here:
Paid about $60/ea as I recall. Be careful to get the correct depth. I also recall having to wait about 4 weeks for delivery.
Good Luck.

Lastly, maybe check with Defender.com as they have a sizable inventory and maybe (often) less expensive.
(Here's a start: Double check with your specific hatch model number) : http://www.defender.com/product.jsp?pat ... &id=109949

Re: Salon hatch inner trim piece.
I've contacted Bomar waiting on a reply. Hopefully they will be able to help out.
The trim pieces are 16 1/2 x 16 3/8 inside and 19 3/8 x 19 5/16.
Sam if you have any laying around that would be great.

Re: Salon hatch inner trim piece.
Thanks anyways Sam.
Bomar got back with me.
Looks like the hatches are model# N1070-10A
And the trim ring is model # NT2070-OFF-W assumming it only goes one inch up to meet the hatch. They have a different one for taller set ups.
Of course, this is the one measurement I didn't make while on board. Oh well, will measure when I get back in town then order.
Thx.

Re: Salon hatch inner trim piece.
Just an update on this. The standard off-white model isn't tall enough. The part number to order is NT2070-2.25-W. That is 2 1/4 inches tall but is straight white, close enough.
Careful on pricing though; I was quoted $58.00 each plus s/h. They shipped in two boxes and charged me another $53.74 + tax for the shipping.
Looks good though.

Re: Salon hatch inner trim piece.
Thanks for posting that Tom, that is useful information. My trim rings are showing cracks and signs of age and I may be replacing them soon.
