Arch for a 36

At the POA meeting someone mentioned an arch that has been designed for a 36,
perhaps in Deltaville, Va. We are in need of mounting solar panels, and would
like to replace the existing dinghy davits. Info, contacts, and approximate cost
would be greatly appreciated

We're also interested in SSB/email/weatherfax set-ups. Your experiences with
these would also be valuable.

Thanks for the info guys-Dan I'll get in touch with the appropriate parties

John-thanks for the suggestions, but I don't have the hardtop-bench seat
arrangement that is now standard on the Capellas-wish I did, it would simplify
things.

We installed additional solar panels on the standard factory Capella
arch/bench/dinghydavit structure, using several Force10 barbecue mounting
brackets (Force PN 83749) on the top rail to cantilever the panels aft of the
bench. The brackets are adapted to the panels (two of the new long & slim
Siemens 55W units) by very "holey" (for lighter weight) 1/2" thick Starboard
planks bolted to the bottom of them. The panel rig can be easily disassembled
for winter storage in our New England area.

Len Scharf of Anagary lives in Deltaville and is the one behind the arch you
heard about. He also shared his design with Someday Soon, Bill and Carolyn
Bartholet and John & Susan Pue who no longer own their boat. Len is traveling to
Florida right now but will be home in a week or 2 for Christmas and Bill is home
now. I don't like to put out phone numbers on the web but you can look them up
in the list at the back of the News Letter and contact them that way

I am heading south today so can't help you much more than this
