has anyone set up the salon table to convert in a PDQ 36 to a large bed? where
can I get adjustable pedestals that go low enough?
Thanks

You should call the factory - this is a standard option. They should be able to
give you the name of the pedstal used (I recall that ours had "Italy" in the
name - they aren't a US brand) and if any special reinforcement is needed
underneath. When I get back to Loki (after this Nor' Easter goes by) I'll get
the name
We got the option though we haven't used it yet. In fact, I just got a pair of
"Large Spice Racks" from West Marine to clamp on the posts to handle some of the
tabletop clutter!

We saw something similar at the Miami Boat Show last February, but I can't find
the brochure. We are planning on doing an adjustable table to have a "coffee
table" during the day and a dining table in the evening. For your purposes, you
would do best installing a hydraulic post. You might start by looking at the
hydraulic lifts that go on really large hatches. I'll send more information when
I can find it.
