Cockpit enclosure on a 36

Hi Folks,
We bought an older 36 in the spring and it has the older style hardtop (main
traveller still on
the back bench seat)

I was wondering in anyone out there can give me an idea of the cost of adding a
full enclosure
around the cockpit (windows in front, side and back)?

Of course it depends on what part of the country you are in, whether or not you
want screens, etc. But we just had our cockpit enclosed on our 36 (though we
have hull #3 and thus no hard top, just a cloth bimini) and it was around $2400

Beautiful work too, so if you are in the Annapolis area I can pass on the name
of the guy who did it. I actually had a canvas shop tell me "the shape is too
weird, I don't know how to do it?!" Doesn't that inspire confidence

Anyhow, we LOVE our enclosure and it was worth every penny. Next project is to
add screen

I agree it is a matter of where you are. We had a full enclosure done on our 32
in 96 at Harrington Harbor just south of Annapolis for $1200. Our friends in
Detroit had a bid of over $2000 just to enclose the back. Depends on where you
are and who you find.
