2001 36 Galley Faucet?

Does anyone know who makes this faucet that's in the galley of my 2001 36? It's a bit unusual because of the horizontal mounting, and I can't seem to find one on the web. Mine is leaking and I'd like to replace it.

Thanks

I just replaced mine a few months back with the Chrome version which was exactly like the original white. They told me the white had been <br />discontinued. Jim (Yacht Supply Depot $169)

Thanks a lot, Jim. I took the faucet stem to Home Depot, and they don't have anything like it. I can save anyone the effort of coating the splines on the top. There are 18. Couldn't find any on the web. Anyway, Scandvik sells the stems for $26. But my faucet is pretty beat up, so the extra $ for a new one may be worth it. If you're on a long cruise and the other stem starts leaking, that's really gonna be a drag...

Anyway, thanks again Jim.

hi,

ours started leaking so i bought 2 from scanvik on closeout. i replaced original and within 2 weeks it started to leak. installed the other new one and it leaked right from the get go. i've had valves apart and can't see why they leak.

switched to a whale long spout. just had to slightly elongate the water feed holes. so far so good.

I just got the stem from Scandvik. The spline pattern doesn't fit. They must have changed them at some point. Pretty much ready to give up on this faucet.

Brendan,

This one was installed last year in July to replace the missing old one. The spread is about a half hole off in each direction. Be mindful of the thread and make sure you get the correct match. I think it was a Whale fitting with a British thread pattern. I'll take a pic of the inside cabinet if you want it. It is working fine every day. We live aboard.

Here is another similar model from Whale.

This one might be an easier direct fit replacement due to the match with the 15mm Whale tubing on board.

OK. I bought the Whale faucet that Joe linked to. Only 96 bucks at http://www.jmsonline.net/fold-down-fauc ... otcold.htm
I'd never used JMS before, but the price was right and they had it in stock.

The holes are maybe 1/4" too narrow on the PDQ, but a little drill work fixed that and the faucet trim covers the holes nicely. Nice faucet. Very happy.
