PDQ 36 Reefing

I am converting my PDQ 34 which had a Hood Stow boom. I am using a boom from a
1997 PDQ 36. I have the diagram which shows the single line reefing system. My
question is what kind of pad eye is used on the mast to attach the block to
When I look at the diagram it appears that the blocks would jam against the mast
when load is applied if the block isn't stood off the mast some how
Any advice would be appreciated
Also I am offering the old boom free.
