Netting measurements

Post by panchito »

Hi. I forgot to measure the forward netting openings on my 1989 PDQ 36 before leaving the boat in Mexico for the summer. Does anyone know these measurements as I'd like to replace the nettings? Thanks, Frank

Hey Frank,
The 1989 is pretty old, and things like that changed a bit over time. There are 2 things you can do:

First, call Sunrise Yachts Products, they've done almost everyone's nets. See if they have a record of doing a PDQ about that old. I assume you were going to use them anyway. They're great. https://multihullnets.com

Second, try to get hold of someone who owned an older one, like Chet White (Allezcat). Chet might have the measurements.

Or you can just see if someone in Mexico can measure for you....

We sent the attached drawing and a bunch of photos to Sunrise and got a trampoline that was slightly different from the original trampoline, but still a perfect fit. I had the very strong feeling that Sunrise already knew what trampoline to build, once they saw my work.
