Replacing foam in lower helm seat.

Post by kjoverbeck »

I don't know about the rest of you but sitting in the lower helm seat is a pain in the ass. I sit down, hear a rush of air and then the cushion is gone. Has anyone replaced the foam in the seat? My bottom half would appreciate any advice.

Our canvas guy changed the foam from 2 inches to 3 and it was much better.

I took the seat out (4 bolts) and took it to upholstery person. Easy fix. While it was out added 3 inch blocks of cherry wood to lift seat up 3 inches.
