Headliner w light fixture

Post by PDQfan »

Tracing a leak and I need to remove the headliner in the starboard berth near the bulkhead - the one with the light fixture. Does anyone know if the light fixture needs to be disconnected before doing so? This seems to be logical, however one of the screw heads is stripped so hoping to avoid messing with it.

Thanks,
Bryan

On our boat you can remove the screws holding the headliner and gently lower it with the light fixture wiring connected. There is only so much slack, however, so be careful. I don't recall that disconnecting the wiring was difficult.
