Credit to Brian and Dawn on Clementine for finding these great bicycles !!

They are very light weight, fold down easily, and are geared perfectly.

Here are the Amazon links to what I ordered:

... and as an added bonus, for those of you who insist on getting the last gallon of water out of the bilge at then end of the day: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08HD959NZ? ... ct_details

P.S. The 2022 Flock to the Block Flotilla is now in the upper Chesapeake, headed to Annapolis for our group dinner at the Annapolis Yacht Club.

hi mike,

not familiar with flock to the block flotilla. assume you're going to block island. if so, when do you plan to be there?

I am curious about the comment on getting daily water out of the bilge. We get water, but is that normal? I am pulling my hair out drying to keep bilge bone dry.

As an aside, on Catsaway we have full size RAD electric bikes we keep on back bench when underway. Absolutely the best cruising decision I ever made. Way more range when ashore than regular pedaling and really like stability of full size wheel.

Hi John - this is the annual PDQ flotilla with Rhumb Line and the Tushick's. We met in St Augustine May 1st with 11 PDQ MV34's, and are headed up the East Coast to Block Island. It's been a great trip with a really good group of PDQers ! If you do Facebook, you can email Beth at beth@rhumblineyachtsales.com, and she can let you onto the Flotilla Page - If you’re a FB user just search for the group “Flock to the Block”. We're weathered in at Cape May now, waiting for an ICW bridge to get fixed, or weather to clear to run outside.

Hi Nick - I just installed new shaft seals in March, along with new mid-bearings, cutless bearings, engine mounts, shaft couplers, prop service, and engine alignment. At first, they were dry except for a little mist. After about 100 hours, they started dripping a little. After a day running at full cruise, I'll get one to two gallons of water in the bilge, depending on sea conditions. What I've learned from the other PDQ owners on the trip is that - they all leak to varying degrees, both Tides and PSS. I'm still a dry bilge boater, so I clean up the water at the end of the day - mainly so I can monitor the water intake in case it changes.

hi mike,

we switched from tides to pss years ago. that didn't really cure leaking. after we had all the things that nick had done, we've basically had no leaks. at the start of the season we've had some leaking but that always from debris leftover from the layup. after cleanup dry as a bone. it's doable.

we may see you at block, but not on duetto. we'd be there on gem, our mainship34 pilot.
