battery hatch seal and engine hatch seal

Post by boathead »

2003 PDQ Question. Does anyone have knowledge of best replacement/source/type material for battery hatch cover seal. Also should the engine hatch cover panels sit on/against similar type seal material. I'm inclined to think it should but our boat has none.
Thank you all,

Hey Carl,

Measure the existing foam and contact a local supplier or Mr. google. Request medium density closed cell PSA foam (pressure sensitive adhesive). Remove the old adhesive from the hatch with some acetone, let dry, and apply the new foam.

Hope this helps
James
