Group Purchase - Spectra Watermakers
If anyone is contemplating the purchase of a Spectra Watermaker at the Annapolis
Boat Show, I’ve been working with several dealers to broker a discount based on
the purchase of several units

For info on Spectra’s see:[/i]

http://www.spectrawatermakers.com/
Spectra now has a smaller and less expensive model than the 200-C and 380-C. The
Ventura 150 has a 20 inch membrane (versus the 40 inch on other models) and
produces 6.3 gallons per hour at 1.4 Amp/Hr per gallon. The retail price is
$4,150

At this point, it appears that the discount will be at least 10%, there will be
no sales tax (another 5%); however, there will probably be shipping. The retail
prices are available from me or directly from Spectra upon request

If you are interested, contact me (by August 15th) directly or at
Rford@sha.state.md.us. When you contact me, I’ll need to know the model you’re
interested in

After I have an idea of how many people are interested, and the models, I’ll try
to firm up a deal and contact you for a final decision

Thanks!!!

The shipping would be from the factory to you. I'm sure that would be waived if
you pick it up; however, sales tax may then be applicable - depending on where
you live. I have no idea regarding the installation costs. The installation
requires a 3/4" thru-hull for the intake, another for the discharge and 12 volt
connection in brief. The installation manual is available on their site or I'll
e-mail upon request.

Is the shipping charge for shipping from Annapolis to the buyer? Is it possible
to pick it up there and eliminate the shipping charge? Do you have a ballpark
idea how much installation should cost?
We are interested in the Ventura model. Any additional information would be
appreciated. Thanks.
