water in lazzarette

While I don't believe the lazzarette (the lockers at the transom)is intended to
be absolutely watertight, I am thinking about installing a drain hole or two
through the bridgedeck on our 36 to allow the water that does get in, to get
out

Does anyone have any thoughts on this?

I agree, it seems that stuff always gets spilled in the lazarette, and it would
be nice to be able to wash out rather than sponge out. Be it cleaning stuff or
oil for the outboard.

I had this problem with Feralcat, hull#83. The problem is a poor seal

All you need to do is call Lynne or Sherry at the office and they will ship you
a roll of the excellent weather stripping they use at the factory. Some areas
will require a full second layer , others will require that you trim to fit the
contours

I did that almost three years ago and have had zero leakage, even during washing
with a high pressure hose.
