Dingy size

Hello
Someone wants to sell me a 10'3" Zodiac, and I don't know if it will fit on the
davits of a 36

If someone could tell me the maximun size you have seen on a 36 I appreciate it

Thanks,
Rich Tanner

I have a 9'-2" BOATUS dingy made by Avon which
handled O.K. on my factory davits and handles even better off my arch.Just be
sure you get an 8 HP or larger motor. I have a 6HP Evenrude, which is very
reliable and quick with one person, but with two, won't get up on a plane.

I have a 10' 6" AquaPro on my 32. Again the only problem is obscuring the stern
light

Check out AquaPro. It's a good dingy at a good price.

There is no size Zodiac I would put on my boat! I have never had a more useless
piece of equipment, and I've even seen them used as planters. We could not keep
the seams together, and neither could the dealership. My suggestion would be to
stick with a hypalon dinghy, regardless of manufacturer. As for size, we have a
10'6", and it is too big. Next time we're in the market for a dinghy, we
probably won't exceed 10'

Hope this helps

Hi Rich - I have a 10'4" Force Four inflatable on our 36, the only problem I see
is that it's obstructing the stern light on some headings. I plan on moving the
stern light, but there is no problem as far as width that I see. Best
