Looking for a better way to secure anchor to roller.

PDQ issues applicable across all PDQ Yachts (or if you can't find a place for something, it probably belongs here for now)

Looking for a better way to secure anchor to roller.

Post by Mishigas »

Question for those in the know. My PDQ PC34 came with the Kingston roller and a push pin about 4" long to pin the anchor down. The problem with these pins is that the little spring loaded ball on the end constantly corrodes and requires us to use the channel locks to release it when anchoring. I know there has got to be a better mousetrap out there. Any suggestions for this situation...I'm all ears. Thanks and smooth sailing.

hi sandy,

assume that you have the windlass. if so, what we do is bring anchor all the way up on it. then we have a line from center cleat with a snap hook which goes into a convient link. always works and is a no brainer.
