I know I read that someone (Page 83?) went from group 24s to group 27s.
How did that go?

Re: Larger Batteries
Group 27s fit fine. Nex time I'll measure for larger?
But I'm not going as far as Page 38; he's got a whole sub-station wedged in there! I wish my house had that much power.

Re: Larger Batteries
For what it's worth, we managed to squeeze 6 Trojan T-105's into the stock battery box under the starboard side salon settee with no modifications. Prior to that we had a single 8D AGM in the same physical space also with no issues.
We did away with the two separate Group 27's that lived in the cockpit-aft starboard compartment and for the last 6 years we've relied on a single battery bank, which makes things much simpler from a management and wiring perspective.

Interesting. Now that I think about it, the 32 has some...
unused spaces, particularly the port side of the cockpit locker. I put tools in the middle, I bet another battery would slide in there. I'll have to see how the 3 new 27s do - my voltage jumped up ~ 0.7 volts, both at full charge with a brief load period to knock off any superficial charge. They were 7 years old and due. I would drop below 12 volts very quickly, even day sailing.
