Roger and Bonnie:
Sunshine has spent a fair amount of time along the Georgia coast, but I am not aware of any yard in that state that can haul a PDQ 36. If you learn of one, please let the group know about it.
We like both Brunswick Landing and Isle of Hope marinas, but neither of them can handle our beam. I'm not sure about Thunderbolt Marina which is near Savannah, though. You might want to check with them.
Our insurance allows us to be in FL during "the season" but the deductible jumps up to 10% for any damage cause by a named storm. Sunshine is now on the hard at Westland Marnia at Titusville and have our fingers crossed that any storm damage we get is caused by a storm with no name.

If you are willing to chance it, St. Augustine south to Daytona has not had a significant storm in the past 100 years. Check out http://csc-s-maps-q.csc.noaa.gov/hurricanes/viewer.html
St. Augustine Marine can definately haul out a PDQ (we were hauled there a few years ago). They have some strong cross-currents so make sure that you haul during slack tide.

I looked at a St Francis 44' which I believe has a 23.5' beam. The boat was located in Savannah, Georgia athttp://www.thunderboltmarine.us/
They have a huge 160 ton lift and are located 12 miles off the inter coastal. A nice place, but it might be expensive?

Thanks, Bob. It looks like a great place - and catamaran-friendly to boot!

All,
Just an update on boat insurance...We have been using our guy for 14 years now and you can read about the great service in this thread.
The reason for the update is that he is now writing new policies on boats of our age and size, give him a call, you will not believe how much better his rates are:

For insurance in FL I use Progressive. About $1200 / year, never had a problem or a claim.
