replacement trampolins

PDQ issues applicable across all PDQ Yachts (or if you can't find a place for something, it probably belongs here for now)

Hi Richard, If yours are the older style, 2 seperate tramps, they're easily homemade for under $200. I did it last winter, and it was surprisingly simple.

Hi Alex,
The tramps on the earlier PDQ 36 are different from the newer model. The older decks had a catwalk in the center, with a tramp on each side. The tramp had a sleeve with a SS tube in it, on all 4 sides. The lashing went around the tubing to pull everything tight.
Using the old tramp as a pattern, I simply formed and sewed a hem to slide the SS tubes into. Then I used new lashing to secure in place.
This only works on the old style tramps.

Hello Richard, I replaced my tramps about 5 years. I used Triton Sails to make the new ones. as they made sails for PDQ's. The cost at that time was $500.00. They turned out to be a little longer on one side than the origional ones, so I had to extent the ss tubing. The material still looks like new. I do cover them when left unused in the summer.
