Hurricane Charlie & Punta Gorda

Post by Ed Ellis »

I understand that they are several PDQ owners in the Punta Gorda area, and they took it on the nose with Hurricane Charlie. Has anyone heard if they OK? Did the boats make it through the storm?

Ed,

Second Wind (we met on Pelican Bay) suffered damage to most of her starboard side including the stern handrail, swim ladder, stanchions and deck to hull joint, toerail, etc.

Allezcat (Chet & Sharon White) suffered similar damage.

Magic Time (Larry & Joy Linn) was overturned and holed. I understand that it is now floating.

We are unsure of the status of other boats, but I am trying to coordinate with the factory on behalf of all of the PDQ owners who require repairs.

anyone who wishes to correspond can email: sailgreen@earthlink.net or use this forum.
