Free downloadable charts

Post by Kokomo »

Check out this great resource. NOAA Charts that are downloadable and
printable. Also Free!!!

The Office of Coast Survey is testing a potential new product named
the BookletChart(tm). This innovative product will enable
recreational boaters to print charts at home for no charge. It has
been created to help recreational boaters better navigate and practice
safer transportation on the water. The BookletChart(tm) is a form of
nautical chart that has been reduced in scale and divided into a
series of pages for convenience, but retains all the information of
the full-scale nautical chart. Currently, Chesapeake Bay
BookletCharts(tm) are available for evaluation at

For the Mac users out there, there is a new program to read ENC vector charts called MacENC available from http://www.gpsnavx.com/MacENC/ for $94.95, including a CD with all of the ENC charts on it. I have been using his GPSNavX for raster charts for years and am very happy with the product. I have placed my order for the new software and will be using it on my next trip (I have run the demo version and it runs well). Give the demo a try.
