Mast Tuning and Trimming

Post by David Love »

I am looking for links or web locations to articles or books that will cover the tuning and trimming of multihull masts; rotating wing masts, fixed wing masts, and conventional diamond rigged
( non wing ) catamaran masts. Of particular interest is achieving or substitution of mast bend for altering and moving the draft of the main sail. And altering forestay tension for achieving up wind performance.

Any referrals or comments would be very appreciated.
Thanks

Hobie Gary on the beachcats.com list has done a great deal of research on mast bend. Google hobie gary and you'll find him (even thoug he sails a Mystere these days). Very knowledgable and nice.
