Changing the oil is done exactly the same as the old style engines. Yamaha modified the new engines with a screw on oil filter, which is placed on the port side of the engine. The starboard engine has plenty of room to pull the filter. The port engine has to be tilted half way between the full-down lock & full-up positions to unscrew and release the filter.

I forgot a modification on my prior post annd need to make an addition: The motor lift lock/unlock tab requires some reengineering to work. I made mention to this in prior posts and will take pictures and submit to the PDQ36.com website with instructions on what I did.
