Yamaha parts

Post by Cat Tales »

I've found a new website for ordering Yamaha outboard parts - http://www.bestboatparts.com. Their prices seem to be much less than http://www.boats.net (used for a long time).

Not sure about the price differences, but I've also had good luck with www.boats.net

I've been happy with boats.net for service and availability of parts, but I should have used an example in the first post of the price difference.

A CDI unit for a 2006 motor:
boats.net = $160 + $17 S/H = $177
bestboatparts.com = $140 + $10 S/H = $150

That's more than a 15% difference. I cannot comment on their service or return policy, but the price difference caught my eye.

Here is another good source for Yamaha parts: L&M Marine LLC http://www.lmmarine.net Reasonable prices, easy parts search, quick shipping. We bought a new carburetor for one of our 2001 Yamaha 9.9s with shipping $279.56 + $14.95 shipping. Carbs. are easily changed out (even while bent over the engine access hatch) or rebuilt and that price is far lower then yanking an engine out and hauling it to the dealer. Ray
