Thanks for all the tips!

Today I found myself trying to come back in in SOLID small craft advisory conditions, with wind in the 30s.... and 3 dead batteries. There are so many fun toys for the kids to turn on, and I need new batteries.

But as a result of tips from the forum:
* tip the engines up just a little
* I made up a cord ahead of time
* a wee squirt of starting fluid to improve their mood

And a rebuilt carb and adjustments to the other....

I was able to manually start them both on the first pull, in only a few minutes. Piece of cake.

I was so relieved.

Thanks to all.
