Reducing engine vibration/ resonance to reduce noise

Post by danhaun »

Does anyone have any experience with trying to dampen the resonance to reduce engine noise on the 9.9's?

I recently found this product called vibra-stop http://www.qwikmarine.com/product_p/vsst2-10.htm

I wonder if it will work. Any thoughts from the experienced members would be appreciated.

I doubt they would do much as the Yamaha engines already have rubber dampers in the mounting.
Seems like a lot of money for what looks like strips of rubber.
