New Honda Engines

I had a recent chat with Terrence Roberts of Master Marine here in MarshHarbour
and he has shown me a sheet on the new Hondas - which would be acceptable for
any o/bd. powered PDQ's

The interesting points are mainly, that they are auto-tilt models, are available
in x-long shaft, remote (electric start), have the new 'power thrust' props,
(like the Yammie hi-thrust models), and I think for the differences on power and
features, very well priced

Here, for owners who may be looking to re-power, or just to increase the speed
of any Classic model - are the particulars. It will be interesting to note any
price differences between buying them here or the Bahamas. (no taxes here!)
Honda BFP15D3XRTA - 15hp. - 2003 model - 'power thrust' - extra long shaft (25")
- remote control (electric start) - electric tilt - USA model. Price in Bahamas
$ 4,005 per engine - maybe able to do a deal for slightly less. The added weight
(136 lbs) is made up of the longer shafts, bigger heads

Honda BFP20 has same features except only available with 20" long shafts and
sells for $ 4,220. each. Incidentally, they will fit the engines wells

If I hadn't just sold Trinket, I would seriously consider putting the increased
power aboard

For what it's worth, your owners might appreciate this new info

Should anyone have any Q's. - just tell them to write us here

They were back ordered and are due to arrive next week. Yes the price was per
engine. You think your anxious, I have been waiting for these motors to hit the
market for over a year. This winter I ordered new motors and new sails and I am
waiting on all of them

I will get back to you as soon as I have the info to report.

Roger,
Have you installed the Hondas yet?
I am anxious to hear how they perform and the fuel burn

I assume the price you quoted was per engine

Thanks,
Chet
