yamaha service FL

Hi everyone, I'm having a problem with one of my 98' engines that's driving me
nuts,& I think I have to "give in" & let a good mechanic look at it. Would
anyone know a good one, that I could trust, in the Miami-Ft Laud. area. The
problem is that I keep loosing my fuel line prime & the engine just quits.2-3
squeezes on the bulb &it starts right up.I've changed fuel lines, racor & inline
filters, added carbon cleaner addative. I don't know what else to try. My other
engine is fine. Seems like an air leak in the fuel or the fel pump?
Thanks for any help, Marc

We have had excellent service on our Yamaha outboards from Dania Boat in Ft

Lauderdale. They are located at 1880 Griffin Road, phone 954-925-7074. They even
arranged shipment of a lower unit to us in the Bahamas last summer. Good luck.

To investigate the performance of our Yamahas we brought aboard a small portable
gas tank with its own fuel line and squeeze bulb. Using it instead of the ship's
fuel makes it easy to distinguish between engine and boat fuel supply problems

Frequent stalling in one of the engines in our new boat was then traced by a
local (sorry, he's in the Boston area) Yamaha mechanic to a carburetor out of
adjustment and clogged with dirt.

Can't help you on the mechanic question. You did mention that you changed fuel
lines. If you didn't also change the squeeze bulb you should. Your symtoms
sounded like mine. Changing the bulb fixed mine

Good Luck
