I'll have to agree with Dan, winters in the Carolinas are very mild. Here in
Oriental, we have a New Years Day Regatta, last Jan 1 it was 54 degrees and we
had 38 boats sailing. Dockage can be had for as little as $100 a month. The
Neuse River and Pamlico Sound are the best protected sailing from here to the
Chesapeake! Hope this helps. Jack Coulter on "Mojo" PDQ 36 #78

We live in Washington on the Pamlico Sound. We have sailed in any given month of
the winter. But we will have some snow, that won't last. we will have periods of
rain or drizzel for several days followed by 65 degrees and Sun. We have
wintered in Florida and unless you get really far south, you will have the same
weather there. Winter is just Dec Jan, and Feb. We have beautiful spring weather
in March barring "storms of the century" events.
