Florida Hurricane Holes

we are on Kopykat, PDQ36031. We are planing to leave Charleston, SC end of
September 2001 and work our way south to Florida. I am aware of the hurricane
season, but it can hit us in Charleston as well. Since we do not know Florida
very well, does anyone know any places where we can stay just in case a
hurricane is coming to close to home. I would appreciate any input you might
have

We will spend next hurricane season in Venezuela and our plan is to sail around
the world, very slow and without time schedule, so let see how every thing works
out
