Lower Keys Anchorages

Postby amytom » Sat Jun 18, 2011 8:43 am

First of all. Hats off to Sam for getting the forum back up again; I know that's a lot of work on an already busy schedule.

In a couple of weeks we're heading back down to the keys with the kids. In the past we've done the Marathon and Pennekamp tours along with an anchorage at Fiesta key. This trip we're hoping to hit Looe Key for some diving/snorkeling.

Any advice for the best PDQ friendly anchorages?

Thanks

Tom

I've anchored a few times off Bahia Honda state park. Last time was 5 yrs ago, but found that I could move to keep the boat sheltered from the waves.
